I wish I had this course when I began my Spencerian studies 7 years ago. It was awful. THIS WORKS! Fun, easy and it gets you results. Make sure you do the basic strokes! DO NOT skip them. When forming your letters, count as you make each stroke and FEEL the rhythm as you write. Feel what the entry stroke feels like going into the letter, feel the left curve, right curve, etc. This will help you know instinctively what the letter feels like. You will have far less frustration. I love this course! Thank you Richard for making this available!!!!

Lettering is confusing. It’s supposed to be Spencerian, but not the same style shown in Spencer’s books. Also, I had the impression that Spencer intended his handwriting to be an everyday communication tool, whereas LL is more calligraphic, and slower.
